STUDENTS ENTERING

LAW SCHOOL

OUR ONLY FOCUS IS YOUR SUCCESS

Law school is a tricky proposition.  Unlike medical or business school, law school does not prepare you, the eager student, for a successful legal career.  It is well understood that law schools do a terrible job training law students to become competent, practicing attorneys.  You’ll exit law school with at best, a cursory ability to practice law.

Unfortunately, law schools pursue a curriculum focused almost entirely on tradition; what we at Elite characterize as “The Law School Game”.  A student’s time spent briefing cases, memorizing the black letter law and exam writing, will far outweigh any practical legal training, he or she will receive as a law student.   Although this reality is disappointing and unsavory, it must be recognized and understood to master the law school game.

As referenced, law school is a game, an expensive venture that picks winners and marks losers during a student’s first year of law school, as a 1L.  Unlike most games, law school fails to provide students a detailed set of rules, they need to follow to actually play the game, and more importantly, to win the game.  For generations, law schools have embraced this tradition of “hiding the ball”.

Through one on one advising, tutoring and mentorship, Elite disrupts the law school game.  By flipping tradition on its head, Elite uses an inclusive holistic approach, designed to empower law students, in both their academic and professional careers.  The bottom line: Elite levels the playing field for students entering law school, through transparency and thoughtful holistic support.  Our only focus, is your success.

A Second Choice - “The Leader”

For any number of reasons, you understand the need to prepare, really prepare, for law school. Maybe you have a lawyer in your family, maybe your friend is a third year, or maybe by your nature, you think outside the box.

Whatever the reason may be, you have an acute understanding of your need to meaningfully prepare for your first year of law school.
